Dr. Christopher Lim, a Chico native, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oregon State University in Corvallis. He later pursued his dental education at Creighton Dental School, where he met his future wife, Dr. Robin Saunders, on their very first day. Despite her University of Oregon alma mater being a rival of his, their connection flourished, leading to their marriage shortly after graduating in 1999.
As a second-generation dentist, Dr. Lim initially honed his skills working alongside his father, Dr. Michael Lim, and in several pediatric dental offices. In 2004, he and Dr. Saunders fulfilled their shared vision by opening Yellowstone Family Dentistry. While Dr. Lim is highly skilled in all aspects of dentistry, his greatest joy comes from forming meaningful relationships with his patients and making a positive impact in their lives.
Outside the office, Dr. Lim treasures time with his wife and daughter. His love for music, movies, and the outdoors—especially fishing—keeps him energized. A passionate sports fan, he enjoys attending football, basketball, and baseball games to cheer on his favorite teams. As a self-proclaimed foodie, Dr. Lim often shares lively conversations about cuisine, sports, and entertainment with his patients, creating a warm and welcoming environment at Yellowstone Family Dentistry.
Dr. Robin G. Saunders has a deep-rooted passion for community service that began during her dental education. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University in 1999, following her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon in 1995.
While in dental school, Dr. Saunders volunteered at Creighton University’s Indian and Chicano Clinic, providing much-needed dental care for underserved populations. She also educated grade school children on proper oral hygiene and mentored high school students exploring careers in dentistry. Continuing her dedication to giving back, Dr. Saunders has actively participated in the local Give Kids a Smile program, offering free dental care to children in need.
Dr. Saunders’ impressive career includes over seven years of experience working in pediatric dental offices across Sacramento, Davis, and Folsom, where she gained expertise in treating children under general anesthesia in hospital settings. Since 2007, she has served as an Associate Dentist in local clinics while running Yellowstone Family Dentistry in Chico. Dr. Saunders also holds hospital privileges at Enloe Hospital, Feather River Hospital, and Skyway Surgery Center, and she is licensed to provide Oral Conscious Sedation for both children and adults.
Her professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Northern California Dental Society, and Chico Chamber of Commerce, reflecting her commitment to staying at the forefront of dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Saunders enjoys spending quality time with her family, cheering on the Oregon Ducks football team, fishing, and traveling. Her dedication to both her patients and her personal passions makes her an integral part of the Yellowstone Family Dentistry team.
